Last Day of 1st Grade

Today was the last day of 1st grade!

This is the last morning of 1st grade.  In my smoothie there is water, spinach, pineapple, mango and flax seeds.  Yum!

This is my teacher this year, Mrs. Diane Payne.  She was very nice.  I'm glad I got the teacher I wanted.

This is me and my student teacher, Mr. Noah Tucker.  I liked that he was very encouraging.  He taught us about recycling and Russia.

My class helped to build this Statue of Liberty with the help of Mr. Tucker.  It is made from recycled materials like plastic bags, cardboard boxes and a shoebox top, tissue paper, bottle caps, and aluminum foil.

Baby Chicks' 1st Day

Eight weeks ago, we picked up three new baby chicks.

The blue dot on Snowflake's head is to let the workers know what breed she is.  (She is a Light Brahma).
Look how tiny she is!
This picture was taken a few weeks after we brought them home. Snowflake, on the right, is two weeks older than the two brown ones.  Speedy is on the left, and Cocoa is in the middle.

BNFs (Best Neighborhood Friends!)

This is Addie, Rylie, and me.  Isn't this a cute picture of us?

Addie is holding Peabody.
Daddy had a load of mulch delivered around Christmas.  In this picture, we are playing in the mulch pile.

Ventura Bike Ride

A few days ago, we took a family bike ride on a path by the beach in Ventura.  We rode our bikes out on the pier, played at a playground on the beach, and had a hot dog while we watched people surf.  When we got back to the van, we heard a hissing sound.  It was Mommy's bike tire going flat!

7th Birthday

For my birthday this year, I had a new school friend, Amanda, over to play after school.  Then, we went to the Elephant Bar for dinner, and then back to my house for ice cream cake.  Amanda and I decorated it!

This was my favorite birthday present from my Oma.  Her name is Abbey.

Monterey

In November, my family went to Pacific Grove so that Daddy could go to a math conference.  While he was at meetings, Mommy, Keenan and I went to a carnival just for kids.  We also rode our scooters in the hotel parking lot, and had s'mores at the hotel fire pit.

It rained most of the time we were there.  It stopped long enough for us to chase the waves at this beach.  Right after this picture was taken, Keenan got caught by a wave and got wet and had a fit.
We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium three times.  My favorite parts were all of them!

 Look at all these jellies!
Here, Keenan is being silly in our hotel room.  We had fun jumping on the beds and building Legos that Mommy brought.

Halloween 2012

This year for Halloween, we decorated white pumpkins we grew in our yard.  We made masks for our pumpkins and glued huge googly eyes on them.

I had a really fun Spooky Party at Oma's.  Look at all these scary faces!

Keenan dressed like a calculator, and his friend Keller was a pirate.

I was a black cat, and my friend Vera was the Queen of Hearts.

Sometimes Keenan and I like to put on costumes when it's not Halloween!

Daddy's TI nspire cx costume was the best!
